About The Quiet Editor
The Quiet Editor is an independent writer and editor that works with artists, designers, and writers to shape clear, considered texts. It also collaborates with startups and small businesses on language that feels true to what they do. Launched in 2022, I’m currently based in the UAE.
About The Person
I’ve been working with words for over a decade—editing, writing, and helping people get to the heart of what they’re trying to say. I started out proofreading magazines, then moved into developmental editing for books, writing copy for small businesses, and shaping digital content for the arts. For eight years, I managed the online voice of an arts organisation.
In 2022, I launched The Quiet Editor, a writing and editing practice that works quietly but precisely, mostly with artists, cultural workers, and people doing thoughtful, values-led work.
Alongside this, I also work full-time in narrative strategy, developing public-facing stories for national projects across culture, education, and policy. That side of the work is bigger in scale, but at its core, it’s still about storytelling.
